We are a small, artisanal producer focusing entirely on Riesling and Pinot Noir. We are made up of three like-minded and passionate friends--French Winemaker-Grower, Louis Barruol of Château de Saint Cosme in Gigondas and Finger Lakes partners Richard Rainey (Vineyards, General Manager) and Justin Boyette (Winemaker). We strive to grow grapes and handcraft wines of interest and value that perfectly balance minerality, aromatics and fruit to reflect our exceptional Finger Lakes terroir. Each vintage is viewed as an opportunity to express our region - to reflect its soils, its cool climate and its hillside lake terroirs. Our choices in the cellar guard the purity of our vineyards. Simply put, we make wine in the traditional, handcrafted manner. We harvest by hand. We sort by hand. We load the grapes into the press by hand. We shovel the vats out by hand. We employ spontaneous fermentation and ferment in very tiny lots, so that we truly understand the expression of the vineyard each year. We use very low levels of sulphur and don’t fine or filter our red wines.
From his days as a young boy working on a Midwest farm, Brian Cunat developed an interest and respect for agriculture and farming that has grown into a life's passion and a dream. Brian and his wife, Miki, have traveled extensively, touring wineries, walking vineyards and enjoying local cuisines and flavors. Their first visit to the Napa Valley with its natural beauty and welcoming residents, along with the exceptional quality of wines produced from the region gave real inspiration to their family dream. In 2007, Brian decided to combine his love of wine and his dream of farming by purchasing a 50-acre property in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. Working with an expert team of vineyard managers and winemakers, the property was transformed with Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. The Cunat family is involved in the winery operations on a daily basis. The oldest daughter, Neena, has worked in Napa since 2007 and oversees the daily operations as well as the company's public relations efforts. The younger daughter has been instrumental in the designs of the product labels and collateral materials. Additionally, Brian's brother, John, and the extended Cunat family are supportive investors in Cunat Family Vineyards as well as active brand advocates. Each Materra wine is a perfect expression of the land, the grapes, the passion the Cunat family has invested in each bottle and the unyielding quality delivered consistently by the growing conditions and terroir of the Napa Valley. Brian and the entire Cunat family look forward to sharing their dreams with you over a glass of Materra.

Fiona and Hal Barnett, Proprietors Having grown up in Vancouver and Stockton respectively, Fiona and Hal Barnett became enamored with Napa Valley through frequent visits on the weekends. A vision began to form and they decided to purchase a 40-acre property located at the top of Spring Mountain Road in 1983. The first Cabernet Sauvignon vines were planted the following year with the intent of producing small amounts of hand-crafted wines that would showcase the unique characteristics found in grapes cultivated on such challenging, high elevation terrain.

My dear friend and partner Alberto Orte and I have searched the Spanish peninsula for wines that share four fundamental elements: terroir, quality fruit, exceptional winemaking and last but not least, wines that present an exceptional value.

Dubos Frères was founded in 1785, by Jean-Baptiste Dubos, who watched with great enthusiasm the success of the “new French clarets”. Many generations had built solid relationships with the most famous properties allowing Dubos Frères to go through the most difficult periods of the Bordeaux wine history, steadily developing new export markets until the latest descendant of Chevalier Dubos, Philippe Dubos, who ran the company until 1989.v
Why o’ why would we start our own label, when we both have perfectly good jobs making wine for reputable and profitable companies? So how did we find ourselves in this circumstance we cleverly call Emerson Brown? The answer spans the six vintages we’ve been working together, though at its core, can be explained quite simply – Naïveté of Youth.

Ghostrider grapes are sourced through central valley vineyards that produce rich and elegant wines. This handcrafted wine shows complex fruit and has a gentle, well balanced finish. It can be enjoyed on its own or with a variety of foods. At Ghostrider, we only make a red blend so we focus 100% of our time, resources and passion around just this one wine.
For 10 generations, our family has devoted its passion and values to Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir to craft wines of unique expression. Each member of our family, Jean-Marie Bourgeois, Arnaud, Lionel & Jean-Christophe, brings its knowledge and expertise to our wine Estate. Rooted to our beloved village of Chavignol, on the greatest terroirs of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, we work on a mosaic of many vine plots. Each plot is isolated and worked in respect of its origin to reveal, in the most precise and true way, the expression of its terroir - either Kimmerigdian marls, Flint or Limestone Clay soils.
Jean-Marc Brocard learnt about working in the vineyard from Emile Petit, his father-in-law, and P’tit Louis, a distant relative. These two people shared all their knowledge and experience on the art of vinegrowing and winemaking with him. It is all about balance. It is a harmony between over four centuries of accumulated knowledge and the vision of the young Jean-Marc Brocard.
My name is Jim Prosser and I started this beautiful mess. It continues to save me from all that growing up I had done in the past. Twenty years in wine, sixteen with my own winery, in due course I became we, and we purposefully craft just 4,000 cases of acid-centered Pinot Noir, some bubbles and a little chardonnay, from our winery on a mountain in Oregon. We are, in fact, what we want to be.
When British ex-patriots Perry and Carolyn Butler moved to California in 1982, they never dreamed they would own 42 acres of prime vineyard land in the heart of Napa Valley. They arrived in California as high-tech pioneers and founded their own computer company in the San Francisco Bay area. After routine 80-hour work weeks, the couple relaxed during weekend trips to Napa Valley, where they were bitten by the wine bug. Dreams of high-tech dominance soon turned to thoughts of returning to the land and grape growing.
Stephan Asseo, owner and winemaker at L'Aventure Winery, began making wine in 1982, following his education at L'Ecole Oenologique de Macon, Burgundy, France. In that same year, Stephan established Domaine de Courteillac in Bordeaux. He and his family later purchased Chateau Fleur Cardinal and Chateau Robin in the Cotes de Castillion, Bordeaux. Over the next 15 years, Stephan developed into an artisan winemaker of fastidious craftsmanship and gained a reputation as a maverick vigneron.
The Lumos Wine Company was launched in 2000 by Dai Crisp, dashing grape grower and winemaker, and his groovy wife and business partner, PK McCoy. Dai was first introduced to viticulture in 1986 when he helped his parents plant a small, 10-acre vineyard on their farm in Wren, Oregon. PK was first introduced to Dai in 1991, when he served her a beer in a local tavern. In 1990, Dai began professionally growing wine grapes at Croft Vineyards where he developed his own unique, that is to say, sustainable and earth and people-friendly style of grape growing. Since 1999, Dai has been managing Temperance Hill Vineyard, a 100-acre site in the Eola Hills, just west of Salem, Oregon.

“three” Wine Company is much more than a business. It is a family winery focused on sustainable growing, coupled with a hands-on wine experience. Winemaker Matt Cline’s philosophy is that: the dirt, the micro-climate, and sustainable wine growing (from vineyard to bottle) form the cornerstone of good winemaking, and is in every bottle “three” produces. - See more at: http://www.threewinecompany.com/threewinecompany.html#sthash.x9Ja5X8V.dpuf
Vincenzo Toffoli, of peasant origin, approaches the viticulture world in his youngest years. Besides the agricultural occupation he works grafting little vines and with this job he starts to become very keen on grafts and some varieties of clones. After his marriage in the '50s, because of the economic crisis, he leaves for Great Britain, where he lives for 12 years doing the greengrocer and the gardener. When he comes back in Italy he buys a small 5 hectares farm in Refrontolo and, in 1964, he founds the Farm, cultivating the vineyards, rearing milk-cows, taking care of the wood and rearing silk worms with the mulberry trees that supported the rows of vines, to give his family a grater economic support.
Growing and harvesting grapes across diverse terroirs, from lush valley floor to hillside slopes, contributes the exceptional balance and structure I look for in a wine. Maybe my farming roots are why the vineyards feel like home and the growers, extended family. Fruit for my label comes from some of Napa’s finest, including Herb Lamb Vineyards in St. Helena, Gary Morisoli in Rutherford, Healy Vineyards in St. Helena, and Henry Brothers Ranch on Howell Mountain.

It’s called “Estate” for a reason. We make our wine using only the grapes grown on our own organically-farmed vineyard located on the cool, western end of the Santa Rita Hills in Lompoc, California. Our focus is limited to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wine, although we also have a sparkling wine currently in the works. Our philosophy on our winemaking is much the same as our farming. Provide Justin Willett, our winemaker, with the best possible fruit so the authenticity of the fruit and the terroir come through in the wine, creating an honest wine, unique to our plot in the western Santa Rita Hills. Justin is one part shepherd and one part gifted winemaker. He knows that sometimes the most important thing to do in the cellar is to get out of the way.
Teira's “Woods Vineyard” is located in the Southern end of Dry Creek Valley. The Valley is home to over 9,000 acres of vineyards that line the intimate 16-mile long by 2-mile wide valley floor. The vineyard sits on Dry Creek, which hasn't been dry since 1982. The Russian River Valley appellation is only 2 miles south, providing for cool nights filled with fog and hot days to ripen the grapes.
We strive for excellence to create pure, profound and authentic wines. We value the inherent traditions of the old world while integrating the freshness and vitality of our new world roots. We celebrate the season of our coastal vineyards that connect the taste of the sea and the soil from Mendocino, Sonoma, Napa and Willamette Valley. We are committed to the best farming practices and work with a fierce community of passionate wine growers, chefs, wine collectors and dedicated clientele. We love old world wines, the classic timelessness of them. We love the California sunshine, the complexity of the coast. What fortune we have, exploring the tiniest of micro-climates and crafting wines from exclusive pedigree vineyards. Our wines are meant for pleasure and allow for pause and wonder. It is an artistry intended to be enjoyed, not measured against a standard. It's this path of unveiling and discovery that keeps our craftsmanship fresh and alive. Enjoy.

Château Famaey is first and foremost the story of Luc & Marc, two brave Belgian Childhood friends, who shared the same dream: one of producing a wine issued from a rich 'Terroir' in the magnificent region of Cahors. This dream came true when they became proprietors of this 33 hectares vineyard, situated on the 2nd and 3rd Terraces of the Lot Valley. Then Maarten, son of Luc to whom the father's passion has been passed on, joined the duo to take on the role of 'Maître de Chai'. He collaborates with one of the best oenologist of the region, in the constant desire to seek quality and evolution.
When our family started Grayson Cellars we asked our winemaker to search throughout California's finest growing regions for the best grapes. We then made several small lots of handcrafted wines and gave each a lot number. We continue that tradition today with lot numbers for each wine. We hope you enjoy our wines with your friends and family.
Athenee Importers, established in 1975, is the largest importer and distributor of fine wine, spirits and beer from Greece and Cyprus in the United States. We believe that the future of Greek wines lie in the hands of the small producers. In the past 20 years, the Greek wine industry has undergone tremendous change. Initially, the Greek wine market was controlled by large wineries that produced wines for the mass market with very little attention paid to quality. As a result, Greek wines were not a strong presence in the marketplace and earned a bad reputation. As a result, the trade suffered greatly. In order to rectify the situation, industry leaders recognized the need for change. The next generation of Greek wines would lie in the hands of small producers who keep an eye to quality while closely guarding quantity.
Kermit Lynch was raised in San Luis Obispo, but his name has become synonymous with French and Italian wines. In 1972, with a $5,000 loan and maybe a bit of gumption, this writer/musician opened Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant with thirty-five cases of wine stacked on the floor. Attracted by the Old World wine cultures of Europe, Kermit became a retailer, distributor, and national importer for authentic wines that express their terroir. Much like his close friends, the late food writer Richard Olney and Chez Panisse’s founder Alice Waters, Kermit’s influence has been enduring. He has had so much success shining the spotlight on small, artisan producers that he has won two James Beard awards and was knighted by the French government with their prestigious “Legion d’Honneur.”
SUSTAINABLE VINE-GROWING A good vintner must favor the natural balance of the ecosystem. With this strong belief we sustain the development of life in the ground. We use a reduced quantity of copper and sulphur for phytosanitation, we plant barley, mustard and clover between the rows of vines, use compost derived from the pomace and stalks; these are only a few of the factors that encourage an optimum balance of organic substances in which our vines stretch out their roots. All this enhances the peculiarities of the terroir which are transferred to the fruit that we nurture carefully from flower to harvest.
Obrigado Vinhos Portugal is a New York-based importer 100% focused on Portuguese wines. The meaning of Obrigado is “thank you” in Portuguese. Founded in 2010, the company's sole original mission was to import just one wine: Vera Vinho Verde. Because of the growing demand for Portuguese wines in the US, today Obrigado represents many Portuguese wine families. All the wines imported by Obrigado have three things in common: quality, authenticity and value. Obrigado aims to continue building a quality collection of wines that honors the places, grapes and people of Portugal...and to vividly express this reality in the US. Obrigado was initially founded by Rui Abecassis and Bruce Schneider in 2010. In 2013, Bruce sold his interest to Alberto Orte and Patrick Mata, who are now Rui’s sole partners at Obrigado.

Our family started Block Nine in response to changes in the Pinot Noir market. Demand for moderately priced Pinot Noir has spiked over the last few years. Large, mass marketed brands brought most of the Pinot to the market leaving consumers with few choices of smaller production Pinot Noir from California. This is our focus. We make only Pinot Noir.
When Dr. Robert Pamplin, one of Oregon’s most forward-thinking philanthropists and businessmen, purchased the historic Chateau Benoit Winery in 1999, his vision was to create wines of the highest quality to reflect his passion for excellence. To this end Dr. Pamplin has charged winemaker Thomas Houseman and winegrower Jason Tosch with the task of crafting extraordinary pinot noir. Thomas, Jason, and the rest of the crew are absolutely passionate about producing wines of the finest quality and have dedicated their lives to this quest.
